Reconnect with Your Body
Gentle, conscious movement practices that improve the connection between
mind, body and emotions
Somatic movement is practiced with the intention of focusing on body awareness and internal sensations and experiences. The term "Somatics," by Professor Thomas Hanna in 1976, represents a field of movement studies which emphasizes internal physical sensations, perceptions, and experiences of the body.
At Clarity Mind Studio, somatic movement includes gentle stretching, breathing exercises, mindful movement, and body awareness practices to improve the connection between mind, body and emotions.

Proven results for stress, chronic pain relief and emotional regulation
National Institute of Health (NIH) research shows that somatic movement is particularly effective for people experiencing chronic pain, with studies demonstrating significant reduction in pain days for those who practice regularly.
Somatic movement offers powerful benefits including stress relief, improved emotional awareness, better posture and balance, and enhanced nervous system regulation. Unlike other therapies that focus primarily on the mind, somatic approaches incorporate body-oriented techniques to promote healing of the mind and body. It is also beneficial for those dealing with trauma and anxiety.
